The dual-finned fish, one of surfing’s most iconic designs and probably the most versatile. In 1967, Steve Lis designed the first one with intent for use as kneeboards in San Diego’s tucked away slabs. But after a close friend borrowed one to stand on, everything changed. What was discovered is a board that delivers a high-speed down the line thrill with the innate capability of hold on rail and adaptability in all types of waves and conditions.

The Magic Quiver Fish was built with this in mind but blended with proven, modern elements to promote the ultimate versatility the design has become famous for. This includes a refined rocker, foil, a slightly pulled-in swallowtail, a flat deck for paddle without sacrificing performance and a single, shallow channel out the tail to promote water flow where it matters.

They require a certain patience and understanding, but once tapped in, rewards a ride that is as reliable in the tube as it is producing long drawn out carves. Sizing the fish shorter than you are tall encourages maximum potential. Imagine effortless momentum on the open face, steady high lines, whipping bottom turns, style, flow, etcetera etcetera.
